Course overview

Why should you take it?

Towns and cities are where the action is. Not surprisingly, it’s also where traffic collisions can often occur.

One straight after the other, you’re faced with new challenges to process and negotiate safely including junction layouts, pedestrian crossings, road signs and traffic controls. Even on a short journey, you’re likely to encounter several changes of speed limit, restricted bus lanes and one-way systems. This is on top of all the other distractions around you. Or trying to navigate in unknown and confusing road layouts.

Our one-to-one expert coaching will give you the confidence to take all these different urban situations calmly in your stride, helping to keep you and your family safe.

What can you expect?

The session can be conducted at the time and the place that suits you best. Before you set off, your friendly guide will explain what you’ll be covering during the 75-minute session. If there’s something specific you’d like help with, simply let our expert know and they’ll be delighted to include that in your training.

You’ll then head towards the centre of town for practical learning in your own car. As well as providing general advice on urban driving, our expert will observe you behind the wheel and let you know if any improvements could be made.

By the end, you’ll have picked up new skills and knowledge to make you a more confident and capable driver in urban situations and you’ll soon be the talk of the town.
